Apparel Care Guide

Proper care of your OoAKC garments and apparel ensures the printing and embroidery remain vibrant through every wear. We break down the basics to help keep your one of a kind items looking fabulous.

WASH & CARE

General instructions for your one of a kind apparel.

PREP: Turn garments inside out to protect the printed or stitched surface from wear. Do not machine wash hats. To maintain their structural integrity and protect the print or embroidery, spot-clean hats with a damp cloth and mild soap only.

SOAP: Use mild detergents with surface-active agents only. Intense detergents with enzymes, abrasives or chemicals like bleach and others can cause the graphics to fade or crack prematurely. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners. Do not dry clean your printed apparel.

WASH: Wash in cold water inside out on a gentle cycle to help prevent graphic, embroidery and fabric degradation. Wash with similar fabrics and colors to prevent the damage of softer fabric blends and color bleeds. Avoid high heat in both washing and drying. Heat is the primary cause of color/print fading and shrinkage in natural fibers.

DRY: Hang Dry your one of a kind apparel. Avoid wringing out wet garments which can overstretch the graphics, embroidery and fabric, cracking the print and distorting the alignment of the design. Avoid high heat if using a dryer, choose the lowest heat setting and remove the items while they are still slightly damp to finish air drying.

IRON: Iron on the reverse side if necessary, using a low heat setting and a pressing cloth to avoid direct contact with any decorated areas. Never iron directly on the print or embroidery. Direct heat from an iron can melt prints and distort the texture of embroidery stitches.
